MUSKOGEE CITY COUNCIL APPROVES RESOLUTION TO INCORPORATE INDUSTRIAL PARK INTO PORT MUSKOGEE SOUTH

MUSKOGEE, OK – Last night, the Muskogee City Council approved Resolution No. 3059, formally incorporating the Muskogee Industrial Park under the unified name Port Muskogee South. The action strengthens Muskogee’s regional identity as a multimodal manufacturing and logistics hub while reinforcing the community’s competitive advantage in business recruitment and economic development.

While the name integration is in title only and does not alter ownership, zoning, covenants, or tenant rights, it serves as part of a larger recruitment strategy for Port Muskogee to maintain its economic momentum.

“This resolution affirms Muskogee’s commitment to presenting a cohesive identity that reflects our community’s strength as a destination for industry and investment,” said City of Muskogee Mayor Patrick Cale. “Our city is one of the few locations in the nation where all four freight modes connect. By unifying our industrial assets under one brand, we’re positioning Muskogee for continued growth and success.”

Port Muskogee South is home to many of Muskogee’s leading employers, including Ergon, Georgia-Pacific, Advantage Controls, Advantage Terrafab, Direct Traffic Controls, Oldcastle APG, APAC, Eagle Redi-Mix, Whitaker Warehousing, Cook Consulting and Omni-Valve. These established companies not only provide hundreds of quality jobs but also serve as a powerful marketing tool—demonstrating to prospective investors the strength, diversity, and reliability of Muskogee’s industrial community.

“This alignment helps tell a stronger story about Muskogee’s industrial ecosystem,” said Kimbra Scott, Port Director of Port Muskogee. “When prospects see a unified identity and thriving employers under one banner, it sends a powerful message—Muskogee is open for business, built for growth, and united in its vision for the future.”

With this adopted resolution, Port Muskogee’s total ecosystem of industrial land now spans 3,000 acres. This milestone comes at a time when Muskogee is experiencing significant economic success. In 2024, Muskogee ranked number one in Oklahoma for announced capital investment. These investments mean good-paying jobs, a stronger economy, and a future where residents can build their careers right here at home.
