Statement on Proform, Upcoming job fair available to displaced workers

Muskogee, Oklahoma – Port Director Kimbra Scott released the following statement in response to Proform’s closure notification to its employees and announced the Port’s immediate action to provide employment opportunity support to impacted workers.

“As with others in our community, we received news last night that Proform Group, Inc. informed its employees of the immediate closure of their operations in Muskogee. This unexpected development has left many skilled workers uncertain about their future employment prospects. Recognizing the vital role these workers play in the Muskogee economy, we are committed to extending economic opportunity to those affected by this decision.

In collaboration with our workforce development partners and the local business community, we are mobilizing efforts to provide immediate assistance and explore alternative employment opportunities for those impacted. To this end, we have organized a job fair scheduled for Wednesday, March 20, located at 717 S 32nd St, Muskogee, OK 74401, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
