Muskogee, OK – June 19th, 2025 — Two Muskogee-based companies, Advantage Controls and Acme Engineering & Manufacturing, have received state funding through the Business Expansion Incentive Program (BEIP) and the Oklahoma Innovation Expansion Program (OIEP) to support capital investments, job creation, and the development of innovative technologies that will strengthen their operations and boost the local economy.
Advantage Controls – BEIP Award
Advantage Controls will use the BEIP award to support the development of a new line of high-output chemical metering pumps. The company’s expansion will allow them to enter new markets, including municipal and industrial wastewater treatment—a projected $5 million opportunity that will also lead to the creation of additional manufacturing jobs in Muskogee.
Capital investments for the project include plastic injection molds, sintered metal dies, and automated test fixtures.
“This investment helps us take a significant step forward in product innovation. With the support of the BEIP program, we’re able to accelerate the development of a new high-output pump line that expands our reach into new markets and brings more advanced manufacturing jobs to Muskogee. We appreciate the State’s commitment to helping Oklahoma companies grow,” said Jeff O’Neal, President of Advantage Controls.
Acme Engineering & Manufacturing – OIEP Award
Acme was selected for an OIEP award to help accelerate investments in production technology and capacity that will improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and support continued growth.
The company is moving forward with several key projects that will enhance its ability to produce components for commercial air conditioning systems and other industrial applications. These improvements will also provide redundant production capabilities and support new job creation in Muskogee.
“The OIEP award enables us to invest in new technology that increases efficiency, reduces production bottlenecks, and supports business retention right here in Oklahoma. These improvements not only strengthen our operations but also allow us to better serve local and national customers with high-quality, American-made equipment,” said Lee Buddress, President of Acme Engineering & Manufacturing.
State Partnership and Local Impact
The Business Expansion Incentive Program (BEIP) and the Oklahoma Innovation Expansion Program (OIEP) are administered by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce and Oklahoma Finance Authorities to help companies make strategic investments that drive long-term economic impact across the state.
“We want to invest in companies that invest in our state. That’s why 70% of our incentives go to existing Oklahoma companies,” said Evan Brown, Executive Director of EDGE. “By supporting companies like Advantage Controls and Acme Engineering & Manufacturing, we are encouraging the creation of new jobs for Oklahoman and leveraging important partnerships that allow us to continue growing our economy. I can’t wait to watch these business continue to thrive and reinvest in Oklahoma.”
“These programs make a real difference for our local companies. When businesses in Muskogee are able to invest in new product lines, equipment, and jobs, the impact ripples across the entire community. We’re thankful to the Department of Commerce and the Oklahoma Finance Authorities for continuing to be strong partners in helping industry thrive in our region,” said Kimbra Scott, Executive Director, Port Muskogee.
